Law Enforcement with Police Academy

In this program, you will learn about all facets of police work, including criminal law, juvenile issues, rules of evidence, criminal investigation, loss prevention, terrorism, computer-related crime, laboratory techniques and leadership theory. You will take part in Macomb’s Basic Police Academy, which will introduce you to patrol procedures, crime scene process, report writing, detention and prosecution of prisoners, first aid, disaster control and tactical operations. Macomb’s Basic Police Academy meets the state-mandated requirements for preparing students to take the exam for state certifications for entry-level police officers.
