Scholarships

You can’t receive one if you don’t apply!

Private Scholarships

Macomb Community College’s Foundation works with donors to establish private scholarships in memory of loved ones and for the benefit of our students.

Scholarships vary in criteria, amounts and what they may be used for. Many are program-specific (e.g., scholarships for nursing students or English majors) and several are open to new students.

Our Online Scholarship System provides a complete list of the more than 200 scholarships that are available, with a convenient keyword search option.

But don’t worry, once you’re a Macomb student, we’ll do the work for you!  Complete one scholarship application via your My Macomb account, which you’ll receive after you’ve applied and been admitted, and our system will match you up with the scholarships you qualify for.

Transfer Scholarships

If you plan on transferring and earning a bachelor’s degree, transfer scholarships are available from several four-year colleges and universities.

Most top transfer destinations offer scholarships to Macomb students.  See for yourself! Consult our Transfer Scholarships list.

Michigan Competitive Scholarship Program

Scholarships are available from the state that are based on both financial need and academic potential – that’s the competitive part.  Once submitted, your application will be partly evaluated on your SAT scores.

FAFSA First!

Like other forms of financial aid, you’ll need to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before applying for any scholarship, and be sure to include Macomb’s Federal School Code: 008906 where prompted.
