Teresa has a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in information and library studies from the University of Michigan. She has been at Macomb since 1996, and was previously Business Reference Librarian at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. As Electronic Information Services Librarian, Teresa stays apprised of available electronic information resources, communicates with vendors to review/assess products, and makes recommendations regarding our online resources. Teresa is interested in how library technologies can improve student learning and how we can most effectively assess whether or not library resources and services are positively impacting student success and achievement.

Chris attended Macomb Community College before earning his bachelor’s degree in history from Eastern Michigan University, and his master’s degree in library and information science from Wayne State University. He completed his graduate practicum at Macomb, and held the position of Assistant Librarian at Baker College of Port Huron. Chris is interested in educating through library instruction, new and emerging technologies within the library, and reaching out to students, faculty, staff and the community through taking part in enrichment programming. He is also an instructor in the College Success Skills course, and is a member of the Macomb Multicultural International Initiatives and African American History and Cultural Committee. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, and volunteering within the community.

Cassandra Swiderski is the Collections & Resources Librarian. She additionally is an instructor of CSSK-1200 and HUMN 1700. Cassandra began working at the Library in 1995 and has held 7 different positions since then. She is a graduate of East Detroit High School and has an associate of arts (Macomb Community College), a bachelor's degree in English/Geography (Wayne State University), a master's in Academic Library Science (Texas Women's University), a doctorate in Systematic Theology (Master's International School of Divinity). She has continued her education at Harvard University (in American Protest Literature) and currently at the University of Michigan (in Information Architecture and Indexing). Cassandra is an avid songwriter and has published two books, Passengers and Narrow Droplets.

Laura has attained a bachelor’s in communications from Oakland University, as well as a master’s of library and information science from Wayne State University. Laura’s role as Instructional and Reference Services Librarian includes focusing on students’ development of critical thinking and information literacy skills for education, professional development, and personal success. Prior to her current position, Laura served as the Library Manager at Center Campus from 2005-2017, where her responsibilities included coordinating day-to-day library operations in order to ensure quality access to library services for all users.
