The Lorenzo Cultural Center will host a Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) exhibit and programming Oct. 19-Nov. 7, featuring a photo exhibition developed by the Chicago Field Museum, a Mexican film festival, workshops, a Detroit Institute of Arts excursion and cultural performances.

Macomb Community College received a Michigan Apprenticeship Readiness Certification (MARC) from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Employment and Training, Workforce Development State Apprenticeship Expansion team, for its leadership and commitment to preparing students for registered apprenticeship opportunities in the healthcare sector through its pre-apprenticeship program.

Macomb Community College President Lori Gonko, Macomb Community College Provost Leslie Kellogg and Kettering University Provost James Zhang came together at Macomb’s University Center on Sept. 28 for the signing of a partnership agreement between the colleges.

Kettering University, Flint, Mich., has become a Macomb Community College University Center partner, which is located on the college’s Center Campus in Clinton Township. This expands a long-standing collaboration, enhancing opportunities for Macomb students in the fields of engineering, computer science and business.
