Reasonable Accommodations for Employees with Work Limitations Related to Pregnancy, Childbirth or Related Medical Conditions

Macomb Community College extends reasonable workplace accommodations to employees with work limitations related to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions ("Covered Employees"). Covered Employees seeking accommodation(s) should contact Human Resources, which will engage in an interactive process designed to ascertain reasonable accommodations that do not create an undue hardship.

The College will not deny employment opportunities to, or take adverse employment action against, Covered Employees for requesting or utilizing approved accommodation(s) for known limitations due to pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions. The College will not require a Covered Employee to take leave, whether paid or unpaid, if another reasonable accommodation can be provided to the known limitations related to the pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions of the Covered Employee.
