Oakland University

Oakland University

Macomb County has been an integral part of Oakland University’s (OU) growth and success since our founding in 1957. OU has always responded to and served the educational needs of those who live and work here.

In 1991, Oakland strengthened its commitment when it became one of the three original partner schools at Macomb Community College’s newly established University Center.

More than 30 years later, OU continues its strong relationship with Macomb and has the largest enrollment of the partner schools at the UC. Each year, approximately 2,000 OU students take courses at one of our Macomb County locations.

Oakland offers bachelor’s, master’s and post-master’s degree programs at the UC – in some of the fastest-growing and highest-paying careers like:

  • Educational leadership
  • Elementary education
  • Engineering
  • Human resource development

OU provides advising services for these programs at the UC.

Contact our office to schedule an appointment with an academic adviser for a seamless Macomb-to-OU path. OU is committed to making an impact in Macomb County through expanded access to higher education. Join our ranks of over 17,000 enrolled students and more than 127,000 alumni.
