For Macomb student Dommique Diamond, a career in broadcast journalism has been more than a casual interest. It’s been a dream she’s had since childhood. Growing up, Dommique watched Fox 2 News often and imagined herself working in its newsroom. Once she took a course in journalism in high school, her decision to go into broadcasting was cemented.

When Eddie Sheen started at Macomb, he was unsure what program he wanted to study. He knew that he liked working with computers, so he enrolled in Information Technology (IT) courses. Joining Macomb’s Cybersecurity Club changed the course of Eddie’s academic journey. There, he discovered options that would lead to two degrees. Now, Eddie, who recently earned his associate degree, is attending Walsh College to earn his bachelor's degree.

A robot and controls technician keeps robotic systems running. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, this field is expected to grow with up to 1,400 openings per year through 2035.
