Title IX
Title IX of the education amendments of 1972 states “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance."
Macomb Community College is committed to fostering a fair and equitable environment for individuals to study, learn and work, free from sexual harassment and retaliation. Sexual harassment is conduct on the basis of sex committed by any person upon any other person, regardless of the sex, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity of those involved, that is unwelcome as determined by a reasonable person to be so severe and pervasive, and objectively offensive, that effectively denies a person equal access to an educational program or activity in the College.
If you believe you have been sexually harassed or discriminated against, you should report that behavior as soon as possible, so that the College may conduct a thorough investigation.
