How we can help your business grow

Apprenticeships are more than training. They’re a strategic investment in your company’s future. When you sponsor an apprentice, you gain:

  • Tailored training aligned with your business needs
  • A highly skilled talent pipeline ready to grow with your company
  • Reduced hiring and recruitment costs
  • Access to federal funding and tax credits (when applicable)
  • Higher retention and productivity
  • Support from Macomb’s experienced apprenticeship team

What’s the difference between an apprenticeship and an internship?

An apprenticeship is a long-term paid position that includes structured training with progressive wage increases. Apprentices, who often receive full-time benefits, often receive employment benefits, industry-recognized credentials and are expected to stay with the employer after they finish the program.

An internship is a short-term experience that offers students exposure to a field or company. Interns are typically unpaid or minimally paid and there is no guarantee of job offers
