Six Macomb Community College faculty members honored for their impact in teaching

Six Macomb Community College faculty members are recipients of the 2026 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award, which recognizes community and technical college educators who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment and contribution to their students and colleagues, affirming the vital role they play in student success. The college has participated in the NISOD Excellence Awards since 1992.

Macomb faculty who received the 2026 award are Shaun Sarcona of Shelby Township, media and communication arts program professor; Delena Austin of Yale, medical assistant program professor; Monique Beauchamp-Doll of Harrison Township, marketing program professor; Erin Fortuna of Mount Clemens, career development instructor and career and academic counselor; Abbey Jacobsen of Canton, music and humanities instructor; and Elizabeth Bosilkovski of Shelby Township, court reporting program instructor.

The six long-time adjunct and full-time faculty members represent a combined 122 years of teaching at Macomb.
