Q: I applied, now what do I do?
A: After you receive a confirmation email that your application was received, the Admissions & Outreach Office will review and process the application. Once that happens, you will receive a second email with a Macomb student ID number and a link to log into your Admissions Account so you can view your required steps to becoming an admitted student.
Q: I attended Macomb a long time ago. Do I need to reapply?
A: No, if you were previously admitted to Macomb, regardless of how long ago, you do not need to reapply. Instead, you will complete a Student Update Form which will be sent to our Records & Registration Office. Once they have updated your information, you will receive an email letting you know what your next steps are.
Q: How do I become a student at Macomb?
A: If this is your first time attending Macomb, you first will need to create an Admissions Account. Once you do so, you will be able to start a new application from your created account. After you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email, and then a second email once your application has been processed, which will contain your Macomb student ID number and a link to log into your Admissions Account so you can view your required steps to becoming an admitted student.
Q: Is there an age requirement to be a student at Macomb?
A: No, students of all ages can apply to take courses at Macomb, however some programs may have age requirements.
Q: Do I need to take a Placement Test to be admitted to Macomb?
A: After we have processed your application, as part of your admission steps, you will meet with a member of our Counseling & Academic Advising staff to discuss placement and determine which options will help you be most successful.
Q: Does Macomb accept students who are undocumented?
A: Yes. All students are welcome at Macomb.
Q: Are SAT or ACT scores required for admission to Macomb?
A: No, providing SAT or ACT scores is optional.
