Macomb is holding a virtual College and Transfer Fair, with 27 universities represented.

Twenty-seven universities represented at virtual event

Macomb Community College is holding a virtual College and Transfer Fair on Tuesday, April 13, from 5 to 7 p.m.  Those who register for the event will have the opportunity to attend virtual sessions via Zoom with representatives from the Macomb University Center’s 11 partner schools, who will present information about more than 50 bachelor-degree completion and advanced degree possibilities.  There is also the option to meet with some of the 17 participating guest universities with which Macomb has transfer agreements.

Participants will learn about earning bachelor’s or master’s degrees, as well as about scholarships, financial aid and academic support. Macomb University Center partners will also cover in-demand career pathways and resources for managing educational and career goals in uncertain times.

Macomb University Center partners are institutions that have transfer agreements with Macomb Community College and offer courses related to those programs at the college’s University Center, located on the college’s Center Campus in Clinton Township.   Guest universities collaborate with Macomb on transfer opportunities but do not offer courses at the Macomb University Center.

At 5 p.m., Michelle McGill, interim director, University Relations, Macomb Community College, will provide a brief overview of the resources available at the transfer fair and website tools that support successful transfer to a university.  Participants will then be able to visit with their schools of interest in individual breakout sessions.

Macomb counselors and academic advisors, Admissions & Outreach, Office of Veteran and Military Services, and the MiWorks! Association will have representatives in attendance to also answer questions.
