Macomb Community College Board of Trustees accepting applications to fill trustee vacancy

Macomb Community College’s Board of Trustees is accepting applications to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Trustee Jennifer Haase, who has moved out of Macomb County. The board will be appointing a replacement at a Special Meeting scheduled for Monday, March 11, to fulfill Haase’s term, which expires Dec. 31, 2020.  

Applicants must be a registered voter in Macomb County, and must submit a resume and one-page letter regarding why they are seeking the appointment to the Office of the Board of Trustees via email to by 5 p.m., Monday, March 4. A committee of the board will review applications and recommend finalists, who must appear before the full board at the March 11 Special Meeting in order to be considered. The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the college’s South Campus.  

The Macomb Community College Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members who are elected on a nonpartisan, countywide ballot and who serve without compensation.
