Floral Design

A Continuing Education Program

Those skilled in Floral Design communicate their customer’s feelings by artfully arranging flowers, plants, ribbons, bows and other materials into a balanced composition that brings comfort or cheer to the receiver. In this program, you will be introduced to the attributes of flowers, including what different colors symbolize and how best to cut and store them. You will learn how to work with fresh flowers, the practical applications for creating everything from casket sprays to cascading bouquets, gluing techniques for corsages and boutonnieres, and how to add your own unique touch to advanced designs. Each course can be taken individually or as part of the Floral Design Certificate Program.
