English for Academic Purposes

English for Academic Purposes

These courses prepare non-native speakers of English to succeed in an English-speaking academic environment. Students who have already acquired some basic English language skills learn how to communicate ideas in an academic setting, read and understand literature, conduct scholarly research and undertake college/university-level assignments. They differ from English as a Second Language (ESL) in that their focus is on academic study, not social and life skills.
