Bachelors of Business Administration - Accounting Fraud Investigation

This program combines the development of technical skills in accounting, computer security, and legal investigation that are needed in fraud examination. Students specifically learn accounting principles, information systems, and auditing practices required in establishing internal controls for fraud prevention. In addition, this learning is coupled with the knowledge of network security that develops technological abilities in fraud detection. Interlacing the coursework in auditing and security is learning regarding the principles, methods, and techniques used in conducting criminal investigations which brings the fraud examination full circle. This program also prepares students with the soft skills of communications, teamwork and leadership needed by the fraud examiner professional.

Bachelor of Science in Medical Case Management

This degree program is designed to prepare the individual who is interested in entering or advancing in the area of medical case management. The student will learn case management concepts such as assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the care of a client across the continuum of care. The program provides the student with knowledge of healthcare management and delivery, principles of case management practice, knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, psychosocial aspects of clients and rehabilitation. Graduates of the Program are eligible to sit for Certified Case Manager certification examination (without a higher degree or professional license) administered by the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) upon completing the required fieldwork experience.

Potential employment for medical case managers  as a Care Manager, Care Coordinator, Community Outreach Specialist, Transitional Coach, and Case Manager (non-RN) work for health and human services organizations, insurance providers, integrated healthcare systems, physicians’ practices, rehabilitation agencies, government agencies, attorneys practicing in worker compensation and personal injury, disability network organizations or as an independent consultant.

Bachelor of Science in Technology Project Management

This Technology Project Management program is designed to prepare students for various management positions within the technology field. Course work integrates accounting, finance, production, computer networking, and CIS with in-depth project management practices. Industries examined include IT, health care, construction, manufacturing, service, and government.  Students have the option of refining their focus by selecting specialty concentration options in Networking, Computer Information Systems (CIS), Information Security, Health Information Management, and Accounting Information Systems or creating an individualized specialty.  Students also have the option of selecting the Professional Focused Technical Specialty. 

Master of Science in Technology Management

Davenport’s Master of Science in Technology Management is a high quality, interdisciplinary technical and business graduate curriculum designed for today's organizations. This program prepares graduates for a life-long career addressing critical leadership roles in private, public or government organizations. The MS in Technology Management combines a set of business and technical competencies to give Davenport University graduates the competitive advantages needed to lead information technology departments in the global economy.

Students will apply leadership tactics, basic observational methods and logical reasoning to demonstrate best practices in problem solving with foundational knowledge in the following areas: industry regulations, network technologies, product and project management, risk mitigation, business continuity and information technology disaster recovery, total quality management, budgeting and return on investment by using appropriate tools, methods and applications. Students will also choose electives based on their career focus and complete a thesis under the direct guidance of a faculty member. The elective courses will provide an introduction to the different technical and administrative aspects of Technology Management. Topics will include: wireless networks, accounting information systems, banking and financial security, as well as leadership and change management strategies.
