Spanish Language Courses

The culture was amazing and I would go back to Granada if given the chance. My dream now is to become a Spanish language educator.
- Meghan Rodgers, Studied in Spain while attending Macomb, now an education major at Oakland University

Why Spanish?

Spanish is one of the world’s most popular languages.  It is the official language of 20 countries spanning three continents: North America, South America and Europe, where its roots begin in Spain. It is the language of Mexico and most all of South America.  But Spanish is also widely spoken in the U.S., where 31 million native speakers live and where it is the most popular second language learned by English speakers. In urban areas with large Spanish-speaking populations and those close to the Mexican border, Spanish translations of English phrases and words are found in airports, bus stations, grocery stores, parks, museums and health care facilities.
