Why Life Career Development?

Not all new college students know with certainty what they want to major in or what career they want to prepare for. Likewise, not all new college students know what to expect in terms of studying, note taking or their professor’s expectations. Life Career Development is designed to give first-time college students an opportunity to explore their career options, while introducing them to techniques that will help them succeed in their college courses.

In Macomb’s Life Career Development Courses, you will take personal inventories that will help you identify your interests, skills, values, personality type and learning style, in preparation for finding and choosing a college program and career that is right for you. You will also learn proven techniques for managing time and stress, taking notes and tests, studying and otherwise getting the most out of your college courses.
