Home Inspection Certificate Program

A Continuing Education Program

Caveat emptor
- Latin for “Let the buyer beware”

What is Home Inspection?

Before buying a house, many buyers wisely contract with a Home Inspection company to determine that the structure, including electrical and plumbing systems, is safe and not in need of immediate repairs.  A Home Inspection is done visually by an inspector who has been trained to look for signs of damage or disrepair that a prospective buyer should be aware of before making a final decision.

The Home Inspection Program at Macomb

In Macomb’s Home Inspection Program, you will learn the Home Inspection process and how to set up and market a Home Inspection business.  You will be introduced to the tools of the trade and the most common structural issues that you will encounter as a Home Inspector.  A certificate will be award by Macomb’s Continuing Education Department upon successful completion of the program.

What is a Continuing Education Program?

Continuing Education programs are open enrollment, which means you do not have to fill out an application to Macomb Community College. Continuing Education programs are not eligible for financial aid or for academic credit toward an associate degree or related certificate.
