Basic Computer Skills are essential to compete in today’s technology-charged job market.  A firm grasp of keyboard usage, web navigation, email protocols and all of the capabilities of the Windows Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, is the foundation on which all professional office and many other skills are built.  

The Basic Computer Skills Certificate Program at Macomb

Macomb’s Basic Computer Skills Program covers all the bases and provides you with a certificate that shows prospective employees you are proficient in using computers and their software to complete a variety of tasks.  You will learn how to use the Internet, keyboard, email, USB drive and, of course, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.  The Basic Computer Skills Certificate can be earned in as little as four months.

What is a Continuing Education Program?

Continuing Education programs are open enrollment, which means you do not have to fill out an application to Macomb Community College. Continuing Education programs are not eligible for financial aid or for academic credit toward an associate degree or related certificate.
