Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access (IDEA)

IDEA Council

The primary purpose of the IDEA Council is to take an active role in identifying and eliminating systemic barriers within the college that prevents an inclusive and equitable environment for all students and employees. The council will provide input, offer support and monitor progress on inclusion, diversity, equity and access initiatives to ensure students and employees are valued and are provided the opportunity and resources to be successful at Macomb. The Council analyzes commonalities between current IDEA efforts and/or work team projects and links projects when appropriate to avoid duplication or conflict of team efforts. The Council identifies areas of opportunity for IDEA initiatives to improve success for all students and employees and determines the need for work teams to focus on these areas moving forward.
