– Tuesday, February 4, 2020 1:00PM

Twenty universities represented at interactive event

Macomb Community College is holding a College and Transfer Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Macomb Sports & Expo Center on the college’s South Campus in Warren. Prospective students will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with representatives from the 12 partner schools at the Macomb University Center to learn about the more than 60 bachelor-degree completion and advanced degree possibilities as well as eight guest universities with which Macomb has transfer agreements.

Macomb University Center partners are institutions that have transfer agreements with Macomb Community College and offer courses related to those programs at the college’s University Center. Guest universities collaborate with Macomb on transfer opportunities but do not offer courses at the Macomb University Center.

At 5:30 p.m., Michelle McGill, interim director, University Relations, Macomb Community College, will provide an overview of the resources available on Macomb campuses and website tools that support successful transfer to a university. She will also discuss what a transfer agreement is and why it is important, transfer scholarships and the Macomb University Center.

Macomb academic advisors and counselors will be available to discuss the transfer process to a Macomb University Center partner in detail. Attendees at the event can also learn about scholarship possibilities, financial resources and academic support. Representatives from Macomb’s Office of Veteran and Military Services and Macomb’s Admissions Office will also be in attendance.
