Local high school choirs to join Macomb Community College Concert Choir for Sounds of Spring May 6

Macomb Concert Choir, the academic choir at Macomb Community College, will present the annual Sounds of Spring in conjunction with three area high school choirs Sunday, May 6, 7 p.m.  Anchor Bay High School Chorale, Dakota High School Mixed Varsity Choir and L’Anse Creuse High School North Select Ensemble will all take the stage, each performing  their own selections.

The Macomb Concert Choir, under the direction of Todd Moses, the college’s director of choral activities, will perform six pieces ranging from the classical “O Magnum Mysterium” to the current “Duel of the Fates” from the film Phantom Menace.  Each high school will let their talent shine with a variety of classical and modern arrangements.

Sounds of Spring will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church of Utica, 45160 Van Dyke, Utica, with a suggested donation of $5 at the door.
