Oct. 20: Macomb Community College showcases careers in manufacturing and technology

Manufacturing and technology employers are invited to connect with hundreds of middle and high school students and their parents

Manufacturing and technology employers are invited to highlight their companies and the great career opportunities they offer at Explore Careers in Manufacturing & Technology on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Macomb Community College’s Sports & Expo Center on South Campus in Warren. Participation is free, but interested employers are urged to register as soon as possible to ensure their place.  Online registration is available at

This free evening event will complement the college’s annual Auto STEAM Days being held during the day on Oct. 19 and 20, which will bring thousands of Metro Detroit-area middle and high school students to the college for hands-on exposure to careers in automotive design, robotics, manufacturing and technology.  Macomb County and the Macomb Intermediate School District are partners in Explore Careers in Manufacturing & Technology and will be promoting it to the approximately 2,000 students participating in Macomb County’s Manufacturing Day activities on Oct. 7.

Along with the opportunity to learn firsthand about local manufacturing and technology companies and the types of employment opportunities they offer, those attending the career exploration event will also hear from recent Macomb graduates who found good-paying employment in manufacturing and technology.
