Macomb Community College celebrates 97th commencement May 12

Macomb Community College is celebrating the accomplishments of those graduates completing degree requirements at the end of the winter 2017 semester, to which it is awarding more than 1,500 associate degrees at its 97th commencement on Friday, May 12, 7 p.m., at the Sports & Expo Center on Macomb’s South Campus.

The commencement speaker and recipient of the Most Distinguished Graduate award is Anna Krolewski, of Clinton Township, who will receive an associate degree in media and communication arts – design and layout.  While attending Macomb, Krolewski earned a silver medal in the 2017 SkillsUSA competition and third place in the 2016 Shorewood Kiwanis Harper Woods Charity Cruise t-shirt logo design contest, along with being awarded the 2016 Macomb Faculty Organization Memorial Scholarship.

Krolewski plans to complete her bachelor’s degree in communications, specializing in graphic design through Rochester College, taking her classes at the Macomb University Center at the college's Center Campus in Clinton Township. She plans to attend Macomb simultaneously to earn additional associate degrees in motion graphics and interactive web media. She aspires to become an imagineer in multimedia art for Disney.
