Product Development

In Macomb’s Product Development Program, you will learn drafting, modeling and assembly fundamentals as you gain a working knowledge of the Computer Aided Design (CAD) software favored by today’s industry leaders.  You will be introduced to industrial drawing, design specifications, ferrous and non-ferrous materials and press working operations. In your Capstone Project, you will work as part of a multi-skilled team to research, design, manufacture and assemble a product during the course of one semester.

With an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Product Development or Certificate in Product Development - CAD, you will be qualified for positions that include product designer and industrial designer.
