Certified Nurse Assistant

A Continuing Education Program

Part of Macomb’s Center for Health Careers offered through Workforce and Continuing Education, Macomb’s Certified Nurse Assistant Program will teach you how to assist patients with a variety of tasks and provide support to nursing staff. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate from Macomb and will be eligible to take the Michigan Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Test, required to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in Michigan.

Career Opportunities in Certified Nurse Assistant

Completion of Macomb’s Certified Nurse Assistant Program and passage of the Michigan Nurse Aid Competency Evaluation Test will qualify you to become a Certified Nurse Assistant, for which there is increasing demand because of the country’s aging population. You may also pursue further training and education to become a licensed practical or registered nurse.

Our Workforce and Continuing Education programs are designed to help you develop in your career, learn a new skill or explore a personal interest. These programs are open enrollment, which means you do not have to fill out on application.
