Green Alternatives Focus of New Classes

Trying to understand what the green revolution is all about? A series of five new classes offered by Macomb Community College’s Center for Continuing Education will provide some insight.

The classes range from one that offers simple tips to improve the gas mileage in your car to an online offering that reviews a variety of concepts in the renewable energy realm.

The classes are:
• A Survey of Alternative Fuels. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, Oct. 27-Nov. 24. Class fee is $79.
• How to Get Many More MPG. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 15-Oct. 6. Class fee is $59.
• Hybrids 101. 6:30-9:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8. Class fee is $29.
• Renewable Energy: You Can Do It! Offered in a flexible on-line format, Sept. 17-Dec. 3. Class fee is $149.
• The End of Cheap Oil: Crisis & Opportunity. 6-9 p.m. Oct. 13-20. Class fee is $49.

With the exception of the Renewable Energy class, which is offered online, all other classes will be offered at Macomb’s Center Campus in Clinton Township.
