Macomb Community College is committed to Learning Outreach, which includes Secondary School Outreach, providing pre-college opportunities to high school students.  Our Guide for High School Students provides a summary of all the pre-college opportunities at Macomb.

The role of this department is to coordinate educational and career focused programs that expand the college’s position as an educational resource, provider, and partner to the secondary school educational institutions within our service area.  This requires maintaining the existing partnerships and creating new and exciting opportunities for educational discovery in Macomb County.

The goals of the Secondary School Outreach department include:

• Working in formal partnership with the Macomb Intermediate School District to implement the Early College of Macomb. 
• Developing various college readiness opportunities for the majority of high school students in Macomb County.
• Conducting career awareness programs in a variety of areas.
• Providing learning opportunities for at-risk students.
• Providing “early start” opportunities for earning college credits. These include Dual Enrollment, Articulation, and the establishment of online dual enrollment opportunities with our secondary partners.
