Student Nurses' Association
(MCCSNA) is affiliated with the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA) and the Michigan Nursing Students Association (MNSA). The mission of MCCSNA is to aide the student in the development of their professional nurse role. MCCSNA provides a vehicle for Macomb faculty, administration, staff and student nurses to work collegially on behalf of the community. The MCCSNA leadership team includes representatives from each nursing class.
Class Representative for Council of Nursing Class Representatives (CONCR)
Each nursing class will select one person to represent them. The Class Representative serves as the class spokesperson with MCCSNA; attends MCCSNA general meetings; becomes a member of the National Student Nurses' Association; maintains communication with the Class Advisor; and, serves as chairperson for the class pinning ceremony committee.
The Class Representative also becomes a member of the Council of Nursing Class Representatives (CONCR). The purpose of CONCR is to serve as resource for class related issues. CONCR facilities mentoring of one nursing class to another. CONCR's responsibilities include contracting new classes about the role of MCCSNA and assisting them in the selection of their Class Representative at the end of Fundamentals II rotation.
