NURSES' ASSOCIATION

Student Nurses' Association

Macomb Student Nurses' Association (MSNA) is affiliated with the National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA) and the Michigan Nursing Students Association (MNSA). The mission of MSNA is to aide students in the development of their professional nurse role. MSNA provides a vehicle for Macomb faculty, administration, staff and student nurses to work collegially on behalf of the community. The MSNA leadership team includes representatives from each nursing class.

Class Representative for Council of Nursing Class Representatives (CONCR)

Each nursing class will select one person to represent them. The Class Representative serves as the class spokesperson with MSNA; attends MSNA general meetings; becomes a member of the National Student Nurses' Association; and maintains communication with the Class Advisor.

The Class Representative also becomes a member of the Council of Nursing Class Representatives (CONCR). The purpose of CONCR is to serve as resource for class related issues. The CONCR mentors nursing student leaders. CONCR's responsibilities include meeting with new classes about the role of MSNA, assisting them in the selection of their Class Representative and working on a variety of special projects.
