Date and Time:
Commencement ceremony for the 2011 Fall semester will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 2 pm. The ceremony will last approximately 1 and 1/2 hours.
Location:
The ceremony will take place at the Macomb Center for Performing Arts at Center Campus.
Caps and Gowns:
Caps and gowns can be purchased in either Center or South Campus bookstores and will go on sale November 14. The Bookstore will be closed for Thanksgiving on Wednesday-Friday, November 23-25. Cap, gown, collar, and tassel are approximately $35 plus tax.
- Commencement announcements are approximately $1.35 each plus tax (optional purchase).
- Diploma covers will be available after the commencement ceremony and will be approximately $11.00 plus tax. You may also purchase a diploma cover in either campus bookstore.
Bookstore Hours
Tickets:
Every graduate purchasing a cap and gown will receive three guest tickets to the commencement ceremony. Tickets are necessary for all guests planning to attend, including children and infants.
There may be a limited quantity of tickets available after all graduates receive their initial supply. There will also be tickets available for an overflow facility, where guests will be able to watch a live stream of the ceremony. Please check macomb.edu/commencement to see which tickets are available. IF tickets become available, you may stop by P127 at Center Campus or K251 South Campus starting at 8am on Monday, December 12 to inquire about the possibility of extra tickets. There is a two-ticket maximum on a first-come/first-served basis.
Phi Theta Kappa Stole and Tassel:
Members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society are eligible to wear a gold stole and tassel which is sold in the Student Life and Leadership Office, P-127 Center Campus or K-251 South Campus. Price for the stole and tassel is $30.00.
