“Transfer” is an educational process that involves the movement of academic courses, programs, and degrees from one educational institution to another. Macomb College is both a sender and a recipient in the transfer process.
By special agreement, Macomb accepts some high school courses as equivalent to the College’s own offerings. These equivalent high school courses may in turn be used toward completion of a Macomb program and/or associate degree.
Macomb also accepts courses that students have completed at other regionally accredited colleges and universities toward completion of a Macomb program or degree.
Many of Macomb’s courses, programs and degrees may be transferred to a college or university for baccalaureate degree completion. Transfer of some programs and degrees of the College are covered by special contracts often referred to as “Articulation Agreements.” These contracts provide for the transfer of an entire prescribed program of study.
Students who want to finish their bachelor degree in Macomb County may want to investigate the University Center which is located on Macomb’s Center Campus. All of the bachelor degree programs offered at the University Center have articulated plans of study.
