Overview
The COMPASS examination is a computer-based untimed test. Students whose first language is NOT English will be taking the COMPASS/ESL (English for Academic Purposes placement - EAPP) test. The COMPASS/ESL exam is also computer-based and untimed.
The COMPASS or COMPASS/ESL examination may be started anytime during posted Hours of Operation. Please allow approximately two (2) hours for testing. Individuals taking the COMPASS/ESL test should allow additional time to complete their examination. Personal calculators are not allowed per Macomb's policy. A calculator is provided within the testing software.
