How do I receive my Macomb OneCard?
Card will arrive by mail two weeks from when your first registration into credit courses. Look for the green envelope!
What is a refund?
A refund is excess money from financial aid or money returned frmo dropped classes. Refund dates vary based on the student's schedule and class start date(s).
What are Refund Preferences?
If the student paid with a debit/credit card, the refund will be issued back to that card.
Other refunds will be issued through the Macomb OneCard program. Students must select one of the following refund options to receive refunds:
  • EasyRefund to One Account - deposit to the Macomb OneCard. Funds are available one day after refund is processed.
  • ACH Transfer (to other bank) - deposit into a bank account of your choice. Students print, sign and fax or e-mail the ACH form to Higher One. Funds are available 2-3 business days after refund is processed. Be sure to keep card for ID and campus use.
  • What is a One Account?
    A free online checking account available on the Macomb OneCard that allows students to:
  • Receive refunds or other deposits (payroll or funds frmo family) into your account.
  • Use the Macomb OneCard to Swipe & Sign (select Credit, not Debit) for purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted.
  • Withdraw up to $500 in a 24-hour period from any HigherOne ATM with NO Fees.
  • Access OneAccount statement online 24/7
  • Online bill pay
  • How do I setup my Macomb OneCard and select a refund preference?
    One you receive your Macomb OneCard in the mail, login and select your refund preference whether you expect a refund at this time or not.

    Before you begin, have available:

  • Macomb OneCard
  • E-mail address (used as login)
  • Driver's License or State ID
  • Social Security Number
  • Bank Information (for ACH transfers)
    1. Go to www.MacombOneCard.com
    2. Click Get Started
    3. Follow the instructions to verify your identity, select refund preference, create your profile and complete activation.
    4. For help, click "Watch a Demo" during any step.
    Can I change my Refund Preference later?
    Yes, you can change your preference at any time.
    1. Login at www.MacombOneCard.com
    2. Select Refunds tab
    3. Select Refunds Preferences
    4. Select preference; enter required information to update preference.
    I forgot my password. How can I reset?
    1. Go to www.MacombOneCard.com
    2. Click Forgot My Password tab
    3. Enter required information
    4. Password Reset E-mail - a temporary password and reset password link will be sent to your Macomb OneCard login e-mail.
    5. In the password reset e-mail, click on the link to change your password.
    Can I withdraw funds at an ATM?
    Withdraw from your checking account up to $500 in a 24-hour period at a campus HigherOne ATM with NO fees. Disbursed in $10 and $50 bills. Inside Student Centers:South Campus K Building & Center Campus P Building Inside Libraries: South Campus J Building & Center Campus C Building
    How to I reset my PIN so I can use the ATM?
    1. Login at www.MacombOneCard.com
    2. Select User Profile tab
    3. Select Password/PIN
    4. Select Forgot or Lost PIN
    5. Enter Required Information
    6. Enter and confirm a new PIN
    7. New PIN will work at an ATM in 30 minutes.
    Parent/Guardian Deposit to Your Account
    1. Login at www.MacombOneCard.com
    2. Select OneAccount tab
    3. Select Request Money
    4. Complete to send e-mail request to transfer funds from their bank account to yours.
    5. View other deposit options under OneAccount tab - Making Deposits.
    Are there any fees and if so how can I avoid them?
  • Merchant PIN-based Transaction $0.50 per transaction - At checkour you selected "debit" and entered in your Personal Identification Number (PIN) or a merchant processed transaction as a PIN-less debit transaction. You can avoid by entering your PIN at checkour, chose "credit" and sign the receipt to avoid the PIN fee.
  • Non-Higher One ATM Transactions (includes all withdrawals, inquiries, and declines) $2.50 - A non-Higher One ATM has been used. In addition, the ATM's bank may also assess additional fees. Use FREE Higher One ATM's on campus./li>
  • Card Replacement $20 - Replacement card was ordered. Keep card in a safe place to avoid loss or theft.
  • Cash Advances 3.5% ($5.00 minimum) - You took an advance of cash from your One Account. "Swipe and Sign" for all purchases, or use FREE Higher One ATMs on campus.
  • Delinquent Account Fee $50.00 - Account overdrawn for 45 consecutive days and for $5 or more. Pay overdrawn balance immediately. Take steps to close account if no longer used.

    What if I change my address?
    Submit address changes to Macomb's Enrollment Office AND to Higher One within your Macomb OneCard account under User Profile tab - Address and Phone.
    How do I report my card lost or stolen?
    1. Go to www.MacombOneCard.com
    2. Select the Customer Service tab
    3. Scroll down to Lost Card to report the card lost or stolen and a new card will be received by mail in two weeks.
    4. A $20 replacement fee will be assessed to your tuition bill for lost, stolen or damaged cards.
    5. Replacement cards can also be ordered through Student Life and Leadership.
