IMPORTANT HESI CANDIDATE INFORMATION

HESI Testing is LIMITED to the first one thousand (1000) registrants per selective admissions cycle.

Prior to registration, it is recommended that applicants review the Guidelines for Success for Students Considering Nursing.

The HESI is a computerized test; the maximum time allowed to complete the examination and personal profiles is four (4) hours.

Candidates need to be aware that each question has a different point value. It is to your advantage to supply an answer for each question, but keep in mind when receiving your scores that two individuals who have the same number of correct answers may earn a different overall score based on the weight of the test questions they answered correctly.

MACOMB COMMUNITY COLLEGE'S HESI POLICY

Completion of the HESI Admission Assessment™ (A²) is a part of the requirements for consideration for admission to the Macomb Community College Nursing Program.

All HESI tests are administered at Macomb’s Center Campus, located on Garfield south of Hall Road (M-59).

Individuals may attempt the HESI Admission Assessment™ (A²) only once per selective admissions cycle. If you have taken the HESI test at Macomb Community College previously, candidates have the OPTION to retake the test once per selective admission cycle in an effort to improve their score. For those individuals that are satisfied with the HESI Admissions Assessment scores already on record, the highest score on record is good for five (5) years.

Registration for the current selective admission cycle begins on July 14, 2008.

As seating for this exam is limited (to first 1000 registrants), Macomb Community College requires that you must be present at the exam time assigned, or you waive your opportunity to take the test. There is no rescheduling and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

HESI Admission Assessment™ (A²) test results that are taken at other schools are not accepted at Macomb.
