INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Thank you for your interest in becoming an F-1 student at Macomb Community College.

Macomb College is a comprehensive, multi-campus, two year public institution created by the citizens of Macomb County to provide for the diversified educational, cultural and social needs of current and future students.

Prospective students interested in becoming an F-1 student need to complete the following steps:

Read the Required Information
Upon admission, the Enrollment Office will send a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 form) and other supporting documents that are needed. Upon receipt of the I-20 and documents, please sign and date page 1. Pay SEVIS fee, obtain receipt for payment then present the receipt to the U.S. embassy or the American Consulate Officer nearest to your home.
Choose one of the following:

I'm still living in my home country
I'm an F-1student transferring from another U.S. college to Macomb
I wish to change from a B (visitor visa) to an F-1 visa
I have another visa type but wish to change to an F-1 visa

Deadline for all paperwork for Winter 2012:

Students still in home country - November 25, 2011

Students transferring from another U.S. school -
December 16, 2011

PERMANENT RESIDENTS

If you are a permanent resident of the United States you may apply for admission under the normal Admissions procedure.

B-VISITOR VISA HOLDERS

If you have a "B" Visitor visa, you are only eligible to register for non-credit classes from our Continuing Education Department.

OTHER VISA HOLDERS

If you have any other visa besides F-1 or B, you may apply under the normal Admissions procedure. You will be charged the Out of Country tuition rate unless you have the following visas: Refugee, Asylum, A,E, G and I.
