CURRICULUM INTEGRATION
The concept of Curriculum Integration has several important adaptations which revolve around maintaining a current level of coursework, allowing students an easy academic transition from secondary (high school) to postsecondary (college) schooling. Specific areas of concentration include:
- Annual review of secondary and postsecondary curriculum by subject area for relevance, rigor, and currency
- Alignment and integration of core curriculum based on new high school graduation requirements
- Enhancement of Dual Enrollment opportunities in Career and Technical Education and academic subjects through on-ground, on-site, or online deliveries
- Emphasis on integration and recognition of math, science, and english into Career and Technical Education classes
- Development of sequential alignment of coursework between high school and college by subject area
- Continue to create working partnerships between educators and business and industry leaders that identify the educational and skill level needs students will require to complete their education and successfully enter the world of work
