Authentic Learning focuses on providing a variety of work-based learning opportunities to students and educators.  The goal of any authentic learning experience is to provide the
learner with a real world, contextual experience specific to a career pathway.  To that end, below are some examples of the types of Authentic Learning projects sponsored by
Tech Prep:

• Support of school to Registered Apprenticeship programs for High School Students
• Workplace Educator Externships that allow teachers and counselors to experience various career fields
• Sponsorship of Career and College "Open Houses" that allow students to learn about the
  school-to-work concept of any career
• Hosting Conferences that pertain to Authentic Teaching and Learning
• Summer Career Academies, which introduce students to a career of interest in a real and Hands on delivery model
• Additional innovative projects that meet the concept of Authentic Learning
