The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) was developed by ACT, the company which developed the well known college entrance exam. The NCRC is the combination of three Workkeys tests: Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information, and Locating Information. While the tests measure different skills and abilities, students who score within the silver and gold levels on the NCRC Workkeys tests also tend to score at a college entrance level on the ACT test. Workforce and college readiness now require similar levels of participation.
