Admission
To be considered for admission in the Nursing Program, you must have the required documents on file with the Center Campus Enrollment Office by the deadline date specified in the selective admissions procedures. Classes begin in August, October, January or March and the deadline date is well in advance of these dates. (Enrollment is limited to 30 students for each month indicated).
Required documents include a completed admission application form, and "official" high school and college transcripts. In addition, testing at Macomb Community College must also be completed prior to the deadline date.

Nursing Program Selective Admissions 2010-2011
Notification: Important change in the Selective Admissions process for the Nursing program.
The GPA for ranking will now be based on three prerequisite courses. Therefore, to apply to the Nursing program for 2010-2011, these prerequisites must be completed by the end of Fall Semester 2009. The GPA of these three prerequisite courses will be weighted at 50% of the applicant ranking.
The GPA for the Selective Admissions ranking will be based on the following prerequisite courses:
- ENGL-1180 Communications or ENGL-1210 Composition I
- BIOL-2730 Pathogenic Microbiology or BIOL-2400 General Microbiology
- BIOL-2710 Human Physiological Anatomy
The HESI Admission Assessment Test (A2) administered for the 2010-2011 Selective Admissions cycle will test Math, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, General Knowledge and Anatomy and Physiology. The composite score will be weighted at 50% of the applicant ranking. The HESI A2 will continue to inlcude the Learning and Personality Style Profiles for the benefit of the student. The Profile is not inlcuded in the composite score.
