What does it really mean to be a CCNA?
The CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification indicates to your employers, potential employers, and your peers that you possess a very strong foundation in an apprentice-level knowledge of networking. CCNA certified professionals can assist in the installation, configuration, and operation of LAN, WAN, and dial-access services for small corporate networks (100 or fewer network nodes).
As a CCNA, you will be capable of working with the following protocols and technologies (to name a few!) - TCP/IP, RIP, IGRP, Frame Relay, VLANs, Ethernet, TCP/IP addressing/subnetting and access control lists. With all of this proven knowledge - when you possess a CCNA, you truly possess the highest standard of entry-level certifications.
How do I become a CCNA?
By enrolling in the Cisco Networking Academy Program at Macomb Community College. Our Cisco Networking Academy Program is a comprehensive e-learning program, which provides students with the knowledge necessary to pass the CCNA certification exam. Once certified, students will have the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy.
