Computer Security and Information Assurance are computer related specialties that focus on the skills needed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. This specialty focuses on eliminating computer network vulnerability threats. Information Assurance includes Computer Security topics and extends the focus to include security risk management, criminology, and forensic science.
