ACCOUNTING

Introduction

New businesses open every day, "mom and pop" stores grow into franchises, and large corporations diversify and move into foreign markets. The American business climate is ever changing but success is still measured in profit and the yardstick used is still accounting.

Employing professionals skilled in accounting principles, able to do work with people, and familiar with federal tax regulations and budgetary constraints is a must for any business. Being able to use a computer to balance the books, and being able to analyze the results, is an important responsibility.

Regardless of their size or service, most companies do place a high priority on establishing and maintaining an efficient accounting department. Those with a background in accounting enjoy a position in a dynamic business environment.
