SENIOR CITIZENS

 

Macomb offers seniors in our community several options for lifelong learning and to stay active in their community.  We offer discounts on tuition and fees, opportunities for volunteering, and a chance to show their talents at our annual Senior Show at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts.

SENIOR DISCOUNTS

 A 10% discount is offered to persons 60 or older for all college services including tuition and fees. The discount, however, does not apply to co-sponsored, contracted, or non-college sponsored programs or activities and certain Center for Continuing Education classes are also excluded.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are an integral part of the daily operation of Macomb Center for the Performing Arts and the Lorenzo Cultural Center.  Assistance is needed in many areas.  We work together to find an opportunity based on your availablility, interests and talents.

SENIOR SHOW

 A cast of Metro Detroit seniors sing, dance, roller skate and perform comedy skits with a vaudevillian flair at the annual Senior Showcase.  Two virtually sold out performances take place each year in July and are open to the public. Auditions to be a part of the show are held in May of each year.
