Kim Renas- Head Coach
Kim Renas enters his 26th year as Macomb Community College's Head Men's Cross Country and Track Coach. Renas is also an Adjunct Instructor in Macomb's Physical Education Department. Renas has been with Macomb's Athletic Department since the 1983-84 season. During his tenure, he has been successful at the state, regional and national levels and has coached countless All-Americans.
Renas continues to build upon an outstanding program, year in and year out. Overall, his teams have qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament 15 times. He has coached seven National Champions and four National Champion Relay Teams. Renas has been the Head Cross Country Coach for 14 years, Women's Head Track Coach for 22 years and was named NJCAA National Coach of the Year twice. For his accomplishments at Macomb, Renas has earned himself a place in Macomb's Hall of Fame. Renas has also been successful at the high school level. He has coached the Girl's Track team at Anchor Bay High School for five years and earned Macomb County Coach of the Year honors twice.
Renas ran track for three years at Central Michigan University where he graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. Renas is also a teacher in the Anchor Bay School District. He and wife, Stacey, of nine years, are raising their four children, Erin, Mark, Ryan, and Ginny.
Das Campbell- Assistant Coach
Das Campbell enters his 40th year of coaching and his 16th at Macomb Community College. Campbell began coaching at Macomb in the 1992-93 seasons. A retired High School Math teacher, Campbell’s extensive knowledge as a track coach and athlete has prepared numerous high school and collegiate athletes to compete on the interscholastic, intercollegiate and national track circuit.
Campbell’s tireless effort with Head Coach Kim Renas has Macomb’s Track team in constant contention for National Championships as well as producing World-Class All-American athletes. Daswell’s coaching experience spans over four decades. He coached Cross-country for 38 years and was the Varsity Track Coach for 18 years at Fitzgerald High School. In between that time he gave his knowledge to Grosse Point North High School for a year as the Varsity Track Coach. During his tenure as the a high school coach, he won League Coach of the Year 14 times, and holds the distinguished title of being named to the Hazel Park High School Athletic Hall-of-Fame as well as the Macomb County Coaches Hall-of-Fame. His experience allowed Campbell to work each position with the passion of an athlete moreover, increasing his coaching comprehension on the staff of Macomb Community College for the past 16 years!
Campbell was an excellent athlete on the high school and college levels. He lettered in football for fours years and was an All-State honor mention honors. Das was a member of the basketball team and lettered 4 years in Track gaining First Team All-State honors. Campbell then excelled on the collegiate level as a member of the Michigan State Track team. During his four year career, he was named a co-captain for two seasons as well as receiving the honor of being an All-American athlete in the NCAA. At Michigan State Campbell earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1967 and at Wayne State he earned his Masters of Sports Administration in 1997. Campbell and his wife of thirty-six years, Carol Campbell has raised their two children Darrell and Christiane.

Chris Brown- Assistant Coach
Coach Chris Brown is entering his second season as the Throws Coach at Macomb. In the spring of 2009 Coach Brown will receive his degree in Exercise Science.
In a short time as an Assistant Coach, Brown’s guidance has rendered two All-American athletes in the throws competition. He knows the position of an athlete excelling in fielding competitions. Brown was an All-American at the hammer and weigh throw. He also holds the Macomb Community College record for the hammer and weight throw. Lastly, Brown was a recipient of the Ernie Ronnie award for his success and is enshrined on the Macomb College Hall-of-Fame.
Ashley Tukes-Assistant Coach 
Ashley Tukes enters her first season as a coach at Macomb Community College after earning her General Studies Associates Degree at Macomb in 2007. “Tukes” as she likes to be called, also has two years of coaching experience as a basketball coach in the Police Athletic League (P.A.L). She takes a firm but fair approach as her coaching style and preaches hard work to obtain success in track.
She started her collegiate track career at Bowling Green University, lettering in the Distance Medley Relay. Arriving at Macomb she continued her success becoming a National Indoor Champion in the 1000-Meter Run, receiving the honor of being named a NJCAA All-American and being a 2-time winner of the Alexa Kraft Award. Her accomplishments have earned her a spot on the Macomb College Hall-of-Fame. As a high school track star, Ashley earned All-City and All-State honors.

Dan Simeck-Assistant Coach
Coach Simeck enters his third year of coach at Macomb Community College, specializing in pole vaulting. However, this is Simeck’s thirty-seventh year of coaching track and cross-country either on the high school or college level. Throughout his years of coaching he has accomplished several things but none more gratifying than his induction into the Macomb County Hall-of-Fame.
As a runner, Simeck, earned All-State honors in High School and then went on to Michigan State University and was a member of a Big Ten Cross Country Championship team. At Michigan State he earned his Bachelors in Special Education, CI, POHI and later earned a Masters in Instructional Design.
Coach Simeck is currently a Supervisor in Special Education and he and his wife of thirty-eight years have two children Kevin and Kim. They also are the proud grandparents of Kylie, Emma and Brittany.
