MORE QUALIFY AT FINDLEY CLASSIC

Two more Monarch runners qualified for the NJCAA Indoor National Meet at the Findlay Classic.  Jeff Warren qualified in the 1000M with a time of 2:39.81 and Kyle Allinder qualified in the 600M with a time of 1:23.91.  David Munafo, who qualified already in the 800M, qualified in the 1000M with a time of 2:38.22. 

MUNAFO QUALIFIES FOR NATIONALS

On December 16th, at Grand Valley State, Macomb sophomore runner David Munafo qualified in the men's 800M run for the NJCAA Indoor National Meet.  The Meet will take place on March 2-3 at Eastern Illinois University.

RELAY TEAM FINISHES STRONG AT INDOOR NATIONALS

The Macomb Community College men’s indoor track and field team traveled to Lubbock, Texas for the NJCAA National Indoor meet.  The 4x800m team of DaJuan Wallace, Joey Burrelle, Jeff Warren, and Kyle Allinder finished seventh with a time of 8:02.38.

Joey Burrelle finished 13th in the 3000m with a time of 9:02.94.

MACOMB MEN QUALIFY FOR  NJCAA TRACK NATIONALS

Three Monarchs have qualified for the NJCAA National meet in Lubbock, Texas.

Joey Burrelle has qualified in two events, the 3000m where his time 8:50.46 ranks 17th in the country and the 5000m where his time of 15:33.52 also ranks 17th in the nation.

Kyle Allinder has qualified in the 800m where his time of 1:55.62 is 13th in the nation.

Jeff Warren has qualified in the 1000m where his time of 2:35.88 is 21st in the country.

These men along with Dajuawn Wallace have qualified in the 4x800 relay with a time 7:54.05, which is the sixth fastest time in the nation.

Track is Back

After a short hiatus, the Macomb Track Program returns as a Club Sport.  The Track program will only be offered as an indoor sport.  The season begins October 1, 2010, for information to join the team please contact Head Coach Kim Renas at renask@macomb.edu or 586.445.7300 Ext. 3548.
