MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY COACHING STAFF

 

Kim Renas- Head Coach

 Kim-Renas.JPGKim Renas enters his 27th year as Macomb Community College's Head Men's Cross Country and Track Coach. Renas is also an Adjunct Instructor in Macomb's Physical Education Department. Renas has been with Macomb's Athletic Department since the 1983-84 season. During his tenure, he has been successful at the state, regional and national levels and has coached countless All-Americans.

Renas continues to build upon an outstanding program, year in and year out. Overall, his teams have qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament 15 times. He has coached eight National Champions and four National Champion Relay Teams. Renas has been the Head Cross Country Coach for 15 years, Women's Head Track Coach for 23 years and was named NJCAA National Coach of the Year twice. For his accomplishments at Macomb, Renas has earned himself a place in Macomb's Hall of Fame. Renas has also been successful at the high school level. He has coached the Girl's Track team at Anchor Bay High School for five years and earned Macomb County Coach of the Year honors twice.

Renas ran track for three years at Central Michigan University where he graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. Renas is also a teacher in the Anchor Bay School District. He and wife, Stacey, of nine years, have raised their four children, Erin, Mark, Ryan, and Ginny.


Stacey Renas- Assistant Coach

Stacey-Renas.JPG Stacey Renas is entering her fourth season as Assistant Coach with Macomb's Cross Country & Track Teams. Coach Renas will be in charge of cross country & track operations as well as a key member of the fundraising team.  Renas, an avid runner, has an extensive athletic background which includes playing professional racquetball.

Stacey and her husband, Kim have raised four children, Erin, Mark, Ryan, and Ginny.

 

 

 

 


Ashley Tukes- Assistant Coach

Ashley Tukes enters her second season as a coach at Macomb Community College after earning her General Studies Associates Degree at Macomb in 2007.  “Tukes” as she likes to be called, also has two years of coaching experience as a basketball coach in the Police Athletic League (P.A.L).  She takes a firm but fair approach as her coaching style and preaches hard work to obtain success in track. 

She started her collegiate track career at Bowling Green University, lettering in the Distance Medley Relay.  Arriving at Macomb she continued her success becoming a National Indoor Champion in the 1000-Meter Run, receiving the honor of being named a NJCAA All-American and being a 2-time winner of the Alexa Kraft Award.  Her accomplishments have earned her a spot on the Macomb College Hall-of-Fame.  As a high school track star, Ashley earned All-City and All-State honors.
