Kim Renas-Head Men’s & Women’s Cross Country and Track Coach, Adjunct Faculty
Kim Renas enters his 28th year as Macomb Community College's Head Men's Cross Country
and his 34th year overall. Coach Renas is also an Adjunct Instructor in Macomb's Physical Education Department. Renas has been with Macomb's Athletic Department since the 1983-84 season. During his tenure, he has been successful at the state, regional and national levels and has coached countless All-Americans.
Renas continues to build upon an outstanding program, year in and year out. Overall, his teams have qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament 17 times. He has coached eight National Champions and five National Champion Relay Teams. Renas has been the Head Cross Country Coach for 16 years, Head Track Coach for a combined 23 years and was named NJCAA National Coach of the Year twice. For his accomplishments at Macomb, Renas has earned himself a place in Macomb's Hall of Fame. Renas has also been successful at the high school level. He has coached the Girl's Track team at Anchor Bay High School for five years and earned Macomb County Coach of the Year honors twice.
Renas ran track for three years at Central Michigan University where he graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. Renas is a retired teacher in the Anchor Bay School District. He and wife, Stacey, of nine years, have raised their four children, Erin, Mark, Ryan, and Ginny.
