JOE SANTILLI

 

Joe Santilli begins his first season as Head baseball Coach at Macomb.

Santilli played in the Detroit Men's Baseball League from 1997 until 2006.  Prior to playing in the Detroit MSBL, Santilli played at Central Michigan University, where he received his bachelor's degree in 1996, and Clintondale High School.

Santilli has a vast coaching resume, starting as an assistant coach at Dakota High School before heading to St. Mary's College of Ave Maria for four years.  He then went to Henry Ford CC as an assistant coach, for one year before becoming the head coach in 2008.

"I am excited about the opportunity to recruit and coach in my home county...It is a great privilege to be able to coach at this level and be able to have such an impact on the maturing process of these young men."

Santilli resides in Sterling Heights and is married with two children, Giovanni (5) and Mara (3), with his wife Julie.
