Women's Basketball Coach Sam Lamb is entering his second season as head coach of the Monarchs. Lamb had an impressive first season, posting a 14-14 overall record and 8-10 conference record. The 14 wins was the first time in 5 season the Lady Monarchs posted more than 10 wins. The team also advanced to the Regional Tournament for the first time in ten years
Prior to being named head coach, Lamb was the lead assistant for two seasons before being promoted to head coach. Lamb's coaching experience also includes assisting with the St. Clement Girl's Varsity Basketball team. He was the Head Boy's Basketball Freshman Coach during the 2001-02 season.
Lamb comes to Macomb after playing college basketball at Orchard Lake St. Mary's. Lamb prepped at Detroit Renaissance and St. Clement, where he earned All-Catholic, All-Area, and All-State honors.
Lamb is currently on pace to receive his Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, with a major in History this spring from Wayne State University. He plans to earn his PhD in History and become a university professor.
